Did you buy your kid one of those smartwatches that allows you to track them? Get ready for that uneasy feeling... you may not be the only one watching.
The Tech Crunch reports that several vulnerabilities have been detected in these tracking devices.
Many child tracking smart watches are made by the same Chinese company, Thinkrace and rebranded. Not all are used by kids and parents. Some are personal smart watch devices used by the average adult. They all use the same cloud system.
That means someone you don't know could be monitoring you or your child's location. While there is no indication that the vulnerability has been exploited, researchers say tech companies need to step up their game when it comes to security.
