Many people are concerned about catching the coronavirus.

While officials are letting people know you cannot necessarily catch it from packages or mail from China.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) says these surfaces provide poor survivability so there is a really low risk. Mostly because most packages and mail have a longer travel time.

The highly contagious virus has infected 17,000 people worldwide, but only survives on surfaces for a few hours. While the virus can remain active and contagious in the human body for weeks.

More than 17,200 people have been infected and 360 people have died, and 11 confirmed US cases have many Americans fearful of getting sick.
