The re-imaging of the 1992 horror film Candyman is set to hit theaters this summer! The official trailer dropped today, Thursday February 27th.

Director, Nia DeCosta, took the film from Liverpool, England to the ruins of Chicago's Cabrini Green housing projects. The film is produced and co-written by Jordan Peele.

One of the survivors of the original film, Anthony McCoy and his girlfriend Brianna Cartwright move into a condo on the former site of the projects.

Aside from saying his name five times into a mirror, a real spine chilling remake of the Destiny's Child hit "Say My Name" takes on a spooky sound. Candyman is set to hit theaters on June 12th.
