Distillery Switches To Sanitizer

A Rockville, Maryland distiller has turned off the taps and has switched to the production of hand sanitizer.

Station WJLA reports what started as a joke has been put into action by Twin Valley distillers. Twin Valley Distillers in Rockville announced it is now producing and selling 4 ounce bottles of hand sanitizer for $4 and 8 ounce bottles for $6.50.

After a few days of working out a recipe, the company has received federal approval for its product - made using ethanol, glycerol, aloe vera gel, lemongrass oil and Vitamin E oil.

The distillery is limiting sales to two bottles pers customer to prevent hoarding and price gouging reselling.
