On Monday, for eight minutes Nickelodeon honored George Floyd by broadcasting a single breath. There were no animated shows, voices, lime-green slime.
All that aired were the flows of a singular breath that said "I Can't Breathe."
The channel posted an Instagram post that read "Nickelodeon is going off the air for 8 minutes and 46 seconds in support of justice, equality, and human rights."
The timing was meant to symbolize the length of time officer Chauvin knelt on George Floyd's neck.
