The United States Department of Agriculture just announced that a German Shepherd in New York tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 which is the virus that causes coronavirus.
The German Shepherd was tested after showing signs of a respiratory illness and is expected to make a full recovery. One of the two owners had tested positive for COVID-19 and the other did not have any symptoms.
In Minnesota, a house cat's owner was tested positive for coronavirus. The cat was taken to the vet and had a temperature of 105 degrees. The animal is now isolating at home and the dog hasn't shown signs of illness.
