Since the writer of the "Star Spangled Banner" Francis Scott Key was a slave owner, there is now a petition calling for the government to change the national anthem to "America the Beautiful."
The petition claims that "The Star Spangled Banner" contains racism, elitism and even sexism. "America the Beautiful" will celebrate the highest of all ideals, brotherhood within our borders, and more.
