The Rock Buys XFL For $15 Million!

Have you heard the news?! The Rock just bought the XFL!

Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson is close with owner Vince McMahon, which was part of an investment group that purchased the football league for $15 million. Since the XFL attempted a return at the start of this year, but made it only five weeks into the season before coronavirus shut down all sports in the world. XFL then declared bankruptcy in April.

Now, The Rock has promised to turned XFL into "something special." He stated in a press release:

"The acquisition of the XFL with my talented partners, Dany Garcia and Gerry Cardinale, is an investment for me that's rooted deeply in two things -- my passion for the game and my desire to always take care of the fans. With pride and gratitude for all that I've built with my own two hands, I plan to apply these callouses to the XFL, and look forward to creating something special for the players, fans, and everyone involved for the love of football."
