Nonprofit In LA Is Empowering Young Kids & Teens With Ice Skating

Ice Skating in the summer? In Los Angeles?? This summer, local area children and teens get the chance to experience a new program that exposes ice skating to the next generation. This is all made possible by one woman, former competitive skater, Ashleigh Ellis. As the founder and CEO of Unity Ice Academy, Ashleigh felt this would be a great way "to give back to the community."

"For me, when I learned how to ice skate, it was a lot about confidence, building your confidence and all of the life lessons that you learn though ice skating," said Ashleigh Ellis.

The program is located at The Rinks Lakewood Ice and news of the free camp (for ages 5-12) has spread quickly through word of mouth, physical fliers, and social media. The Unity Ice Academy Camp is currently available through July 3oth, 2022. Click here for more.
