Kate Middleton has surpassed a slew of milestones amid an ongoing battle with abdominal cancer as she returns to her royal duties, just months after completing a course of chemotherapy treatments.

Lady Frederick Windsor (born Sophie Winkleman), welcomed into the British royal family following her union to Lord Frederick Windsor in 2009, recently sat down with Hello! Magazine to discuss Middleton's strength as she continues to battle the unfortunate disease. Winkleman was pleased to run into the Princess of Wales at the Wimbledon men's singles final in July, referring to the reunion as "cheering."

“It was so cheering to see her, beautiful as ever. She’s been amazingly brave and is doing so well.”

Middleton is not the only member of the British royal family that Lady Frederick Windsor has publicly praised for their bravery amid an ongoing cancer battle. Winkleman also had endearing things to say about King Charles III in a 2023 interview with Hello!, citing her amazement in the King's continued resilience and duty despite health challenges he faces.

"Duty and service run through him like a stick of rock; it just doesn't occur to him to rest, something which those who love him are desperate for him to do. He's battling cancer and doesn't give himself a moment off – he's a hugely inspirational man. The central royal family work very hard. It's not an easy existence, having a spotlight on you from the second you're born. I count pretty much every one of them as a trusted friend. I'm very lucky."

Middleton made her first public appearance since completing chemotherapy last month, attending Sunday service at Crathie Kirk Church near Balmoral Castle in Scotland with her husband, Prince William, and in-laws King Charles III and Queen Camilla, on September 22nd.

Information regarding the success of the completed treatments has yet to be unveiled as the Princess continues to add events to her calendar for the coming months, including her highly-anticipated, annual carol concert at Westminster Abbey in London in December!
