Selena Gomez's Only Murders in the Building co-stars Steve Martin and Martin Short reacted differently to her engagement to Benny Blanco.
The actress recently appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and spoke of the interaction she had with both co-stars following the big announcement.
When Martin heard the news, he told Gomez's assistant to congratulate her for him.
"Steve made sure he sent my assistant an email so my assistant could tell me congratulations. That’s how he communicates. He always tries to be polite. And it’s very kind, but it’s okay to send a little text."
The Emilia Pérez standout revealed that Short was probably not happy that Blanco didn't ask his permission, given how close he is to Selena, and made little "jokes here and there." Video footage shows Short assessing Selena's ring at the Golden Globes, but she didn't really know what he was doing and insinuated that he may have had a few drinks before the interaction.
"He’s twisting it. Taking it off. I wasn’t sure what he was doing; that's why I look confused. He just wanted to know what was going on. I don’t think he cared. Maybe a little ..."
