Friends, family and the Front Street Animal Shelter in Sacramento helped make one woman's dream come true.

Courtney Gessford has dreamed of being showered with puppies. But, suffering from brain cancer, the 28-year-old thought she’d never get to experience the puppy love.

She was blindfolded by a friend and brought to the animal shelter where everyone surprised her with a day playing with all the puppies there!

The healing power of puppies

Woman with brain cancer surprised with every puppy at our shelter! For over a year, it’s been Courtney’s dream to be showered with puppies. So when her friends and family reached out to us, we were thrilled to make this magical day happen. At just 28, Courtney has been battling brain cancer for over 3 years, and we hope that the healing power of puppies has brought her one step closer to recovery!
