Meet Leanne Carrasco, she is a recent graduate from Waltrip High School who did such a kind act.
One of the best feelings is graduating high school and getting ready to move on to the next chapter of your life.
She decided to skip her own graduation party to instead throw a pizza party at a homeless shelter for women and children.
She said,“I didn’t want to spend so much money on a party, when that’s just gonna last a day. I feel that if I’m able to give to the people, that will last more than a day.”
Leanne had the help of her friends who handed out 95 pizzas and 400 care packages.
The care packages included toothbrushes, toothpaste, hand wipes, and deodorant.
She believes "you should always know you’re lucky to have what you have. Don’t take that for granted and continue to give.”
