The classic movie Pretty Woman has a happy ending, but Julia Roberts revealed that the original script for the film was the complete opposite!
She talked to Patricia Arquette for Variety's Actors on Actors series saying:
"So many, many, many years ago, one of my early auditions was for a movie called 3,000. Most people don’t know that 3,000 was the original Pretty Woman script. And the ending was really heavy."
She continued saying that the script for 3,000 ended with her characters being thrown out of the car and having the driver "throw the money on top of her, as memory serves, and just drove away, leaving her in some dirty alley.”
We're so glad that Pretty Woman became the movie it is today!
