Memorial Day...a day to reflect and THANK our fallen heroes...those who paid the ULTIMATE SACRIFICE for our freedoms ;/ We're not able to do LARGE GATHERINGS this year at those big, traditional ceremonies that are always done on this day, in their honor...so...we've got some smaller in person commemorations, virtual ones, some TV specials...and we've got PLANES! A plane formation of historic planes carrying some special Vets from past wars...flying ALL over Southern California today...over cemeteries, VA hospitals, regular hospitals, landmarks and more...to honor the fallen, our Vets AND our healthcare workers fighting on the front lines of the Coronavirus...
The warbirds formation has 19 designated flyover locations, listed below, in order of the planned itinerary, with the operation starting at about NOON TODAY, Monday May 25:
