Whoa! Popeyes & Chick-fil-A - LOOK OUT! McDonald's is taking this 'chicken fight' to the NEXT LEVEL by adding not one, not two, but THREE new chicken sandwiches to their menu in hopes of being, yes, 'WINNER WINNER, Chicken dinner'???!! Ha! Back in 2019, it was the launch of the new chicken sandwich at Popeyes that caused utter CHAOS all over the country, with the sandwich selling out completely in just weeks. Folks joked that they would 'do ANYTHING for a Popeyes Chicken Sandwich.' It became the new 'MUST HAVE' in pop culture and was CLEARLY a HUGE HIT. Popeyes & Chick-fil-A even went after each other on social media to further 'the war' ALL BECAUSE of the chicken sandwich FRENZY! Wendy's & KFC rolled out new versions of their chicken sandwiches to be contenders as well!
And now, McDonald's is ready to battle! They will be offering three versions of their new Chicken Sandwich.
The first is the 'Crispy Chicken Sandwich' topped with crinkle-cut pickles and served on a potato roll. The second one is the 'Spicy Chicken Sandwich' with a spicy pepper sauce, crinkle-cut pickles, and also served on a potato roll. The third sandwich is a 'Deluxe Chicken Sandwich,' which sounds a bit more basic with lettuce, tomatoes and mayo. Reports say the sandwiches will be hitting McDonald's locations on February 24!
