Once more Americans get vaccinated, do you plan on finally traveling again? Flying anywhere soon? Well, with this on-going pandemic, some airlines are being forced into getting creative as to how they can make a buck until more people decide to travel by plane like the good 'ol days - you know, 2019! ;0 With alcohol banned on a number of flights to lessen the spread of Covid-19 AND less people traveling, that is apparently adding up to A LOT of left over alcohol! Thank goodness someone at American Airlines came up with a cool idea - LET'S DELIVER ALCOHOL TO THE PEOPLE! Yes! They have announced they'll be launching an 'alcohol home delivery' program called American Airlines Flagship Cellars, giving customers a chance to buy wines from their collection by the bottle for anywhere from $13-$40, in custom 'curated' cases or with a monthly subscription plan for around $99 per month. Perks for subscribers includes discounts and some AAdvantage Miles (gotta like that)! American Airlines recently posted a net loss of $3.6 BILLION! The wine delivery program is expected to bring in anywhere from $40-50k in a few months alone, so still a long way to go! A company spokesperson said, 'though revenue is important, Flagship Cellars is more so a way of engaging with customers, even when they are not traveling with us.' Cheers to that!hough revenue is important, Flagship Cellars is moreso
