What a great way to be welcomed 'back to school'...FREE musical instruments AND music lessons from Billie Eilish and her brother, artist Finneas 🙂 In partnership with the Fender Play Foundation and the Los Angeles Unified School District, the Grammy winning duo, who both grew up in the area, will provide instruments along with IN-PERSON music instruction to about 2,500 elementary school students across 10 Highland Park schools for the next few years🙂 Love it!!

The program will educate about 50 LAUSD teachers on how to play ukulele alongside their students in their classrooms. According to ABC 7, Eilish said "Music changed my life, and it's an incredible feeling to be able to give back to my hometown and provide other kids with the very instrument that made me fall in love with songwriting in the first place. Through this program, I hope we can help inspire the next generation of creatives.''

Since launching in June 2020, the L.A. Unified program has expanded to 5,000 students and has donated over $1 million in resources and equipment. SO COOL for these teachers and students to experience🙂
