Global Citizen Live will be airing on KIIS-FM only AND the iHeart App all day/all night...this charity festival is happening from about a half-dozen cities all over the world. Here in L.A., Stevie Wonder headlines a concert at the Greek Theatre, with support from Adam Lambert, Chloe x Halle, Demi Lovato, H.E.R., OneRepublic, Lumineers and 5 Seconds of Summer. All in the name of Global Citizen’s movement for defeating poverty. More artists include Billie Eilish, BTS, Camila Cabello, Coldplay, Ed Sheeran, Lizzo & more...live from all over the planet!

Los Angeles Haunted Hayride-> After adapting to a drive-thru version last year, the Haunted Hayride is back in Griffith Park for 2021 with in-person activities based around a fictional town named Midnight Falls, circa 1985. In addition to the signature hayride, highlights for this year’s event include a Trick or Treat Maze, the Midnight Mortuary Tour, & the Dead End Diner. The roar returns to Shoreline Drive in Long Beach this weekend!! It will be LOUD!!

The Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach, a motor sports street party featuring several types of racing cars on a tight and challenging street course, is back after the pandemic put the brakes on plans in 2020. The Sept. 24-27 dates mark the first time the Grand Prix of Long Beach has been in September since the event's inaugural Formula 5000 race, which took place on Sept. 28, 1975. Surf City Surf Dog...Saturday its the Huntington Beach surfing dog competition, broken up by size and style (some pups surf solo, some tandem with their humans). It’s one of those have-to-see-it-to-believe-it events that you simply can’t miss. More info here

Eddie Vedder’sOhana Festival once again lands at Doheny State Beach in Dana Point, and the Pearl Jam frontman will be pulling double duty on the lineup. Kings of Leon, Eddie Vedder and Pearl Jam top this year’s fest, which largely preserves the lineup of the canceled 2020 edition and now goes down Fri-Sun September 24 to 26, 2021.The fest’s name comes from the Hawaiian concept of family, and as such the beachfront festival will give back to its own community by donating a portion of proceeds to the San Onofre Parks Foundation and the Doheny State Beach Foundation. The Malibu Triathlon Sat/Sun...Watch participants (usually some fun celebs too) swim, bike and run their way along Zuma Beach and PCH at Saturday’s daunting Olympic Distance race and Sunday’s slightly shorter Classic Distance all to raise money for Children's Hospital Los Angeles. More info here

The Gold Over America Tour Fri/Sat...The world’s most decorated gymnast ever comes to town as part of this gymnastics exhibition. Simone Biles leads a crew that includes fellow gold medalist Laurie Hernandez as well as UCLA sensation Katelyn Ohashi, among others. Fri at Honda Center, Sat at Staples Center. More info here

3rd & Final Weekend of The L.A. County 'Bite-Sized' Fair returns, albeit in bite-sized form, with this food-only edition. The Other Art Fair-> The Other Art Fair Los Angeles returns to the Santa Monica Barker Hangar from Sept. 23-26 with a showcase of 140 independent artists. General admission tickets for Friday-Sunday are $15. More info here.

2021 LA Tequila Fest->Over 50 premium tequila and mezcal brands showcase their flavors at their tastes at LA State Historic Park this Saturday. In addition to the samples, expect food trucks, DJ sets and lawn games. GA tickets are $65, which allows you to try 15 samples. More info here.

DinoFest LA-> The 10th anniversary edition of Natural History Museum’s DinoFest offers meet-and-greets with world-renowned paleontologists from the museum’s Dinosaur Institute, screenings of Dinosaurs of Antarctica 3D, fossil demos, hands-on activities, and discussion sessions. If you want to learn more about dinosaurs, this is the event for you! Tickets are $15 for museum admission. More info here.
