Talk about a way to get attention! 💩💩💩Burger King, in Brazil, has introduced a new Poop Emoji Ice Cream cone to promote something pretty cool! (And no, it's not what you think! Quite the OPPOSITE actually). It's to promote that their ice creams and desserts are 100% FREE of artificial ingredients. Not that I'm looking forward to biting into a frozen pile of ______! But now I do want a picture with it for Instagram before I take a bite of _____!! Haaa sadly, its available in Brazil only AND via a special ice cream truck, for a limited time. My guess is, if it's a big hit...they will keep it around AND maybe even bring it here to the U.S. for us to enjoy 😬😁💩💩
According to Restaurant Dive, the Poop Emoji Ice Cream product was created by the same brand and agency that teamed up in 2020 for the Moldy Whopper, an effort that promoted the removal of artificial preservatives with a burger overgrown with blue and green mold. Unsurprisingly, that campaign received a mixed response from consumers, but generated higher attention than the category norms and was widely recognized as one of the best campaigns of the year.
