Lululemon Will Give Store Credit In Exchange For Your Old Workout Clothes

The popular and pricey Lululemon athletic wear brand is 'giving back' in a way I think ALL customers will be excited about...turn in your gently used Lululemon yoga pants, tops, shorts, jackets and more and receive an e-gift card aka store credit, as a thank you to cut down on waste! It's all part of their new 'Lululemon Like New' program, that starts Aprill 22nd. All returned items will be cleaned and evaluated for resale, then offered for resale on lululemon.com. The value of the gift cards customers receive will vary, depending on the type and condition of the item once it's approved for resale. And I did read an article that said you may get like $5 dollars for a top you once paid $60 for but heeeeeeeey...its the 'thought' that counts, right?? 😬😬😬 And the point IS that they want to curb waste and be kinder to our planet. An estimated 13 million tons of textiles are thrown out in the US every year...85% of which ends up in landfills or burned. So you'll get a little something, our planet will get a little something...

According to CNN Business..."Lululemon Like New is just one example of how we're working towards creating a circular ecosystem and offering ways to extend the life of our product," said Maureen Erikson, Lululemon's senior vice president of Global Guest Innovation. "Buying secondhand is no longer a trend, it's a new normal here to stay — our pilot proved that our community is passionate about participating in re-commerce." Time to do some closet and drawer purging people!!! Who's ready??!! 😁
