Pride Stride is the first-ever nationwide LGBTQ+ 5k/10k
Sept 15 – Oct 31
Pride may have been canceled, but PRIDE can never be canceled! LA Pride invites you to come out for Pride Stride, a new virtual 5k/10k event to commemorate National Coming Out Day.
Pride Stride isn’t just another virtual event. It gets you off your webcam and off the couch, and outside. It’s also a fundraiser. By signing up, you’ll be helping us continue to sponsor our programs like Trans Galleria and PLATform. You’ll also be supporting our ongoing education and LGBTQ+ conference scholarships, and the smaller community nonprofits we support throughout the year.
Choose Your Own Path
Because it’s virtual, there are no permits. There’s no official route. You choose your own way around and complete it any time you like between Sept 15 -Oct 31. Or, do it on National Coming Out Day, Sunday, Oct. 11.
Because it’s not a race, anyone can join in! Shoot for your personal best 10k. Walk a 5k at your leisure. Dance the entire way if you have it in you. And we know you do!
Because who doesn’t love Pride stuff, every registrant gets a goodie bag full of Pride Stride merch! A 1/4 zip-up fleece, rainbow wristbands, a fanny pack, a racer’s bib and a finisher’s medal!
Because Pride Stride is coast-to-coast, you’ll be part of one massively fabulous fundraising event happening all over the country from Maine to San Diego, and even Anchorage, Alaska. Each city will be raising money for their local communities, too!
You can even join one of OUR TEAMS as iHeartRadio Los Angeles has teamed up with LA Pride for "Pride Stride"...and encouraging listeners to join in for the virtual fun!

Aired Sept. 2, 2020. On this show: Lisa Foxx talks to LA Pride Board Member Tracy Paaso about how LA Pride, teamed up with Pride organizations in cities all across the country, to help put on the first ever 'Nationwide Virtual Pride Stride' to show support and raise funds for the LGBTQ+ community in each participating city. We discussed the significance of National Coming Out Day, plus everyday challenges the LGBTQ+ community faces. Tracy also gave a nice shout out to the new President of Christopher Street West Sharon-Franklin Brown, the first Black, transgender woman to be appointed the President role.
