The day has finally come! Starbucks has officially gone strawless.
Two years ago, Starbucks announced that they would phase out their signature plastic straws by 2020 and if there's anything we're sure of this year, it's that! By the end of the month, all locations across the US and Canada will be using strawless lids for iced drinks, coffees, teas and even refreshers.
You'll be getting your iced drink in a sippy cup style lid, which started last year. These new cups have 9% less plastic than a regular flat lid and straw combined. They're made up of polyproylene, which is a type of plastic that is used in recycling infrastructures more than straws.
Are you a fan of these cups?
