The LA County ban on outdoor dining will go forward as planned.
Efforts to block the measure in courts and at the county Board of Supervisors failed on Tuesday. A California judge rejected the request from a restaurant industry group to block Los Angeles County from reinstating a ban on outdoor dining, the group said this would devastate business and workers.
The group challenged an order issued Sunday in light of rising COVID-19 cases that prohibits restaurants, breweries, wineries and bars from providing in-person and outdoor dining. Officials have urged people to not meet with more than two other households and celebrate outdoors and follow social distancing rules.
