Wearing Glasses Could Possibly Protect You From COVID-19

Researchers say that people who wear glasses could be two to three times less likely to contact coronavirus.

According to the World Health Organization, they stated that it can be contracted by touching a contaminated surface and then touching your eyes, nose or mouth before washing your hands. A study was done in India where less than one fifth wore glasses compared to the 40% around them they didn't. The fewer people wearing glasses were treated for the virus than would be expected them wearing some type of protection.

The study said "Touching one’s nose and mouth is significantly reduced when wearing a face mask properly. But wearing a face mask does not protect the eyes from getting the viral infection through respiratory droplets and self-inoculation."
