Netflix is currently cracking down on sharing passwords.
The company is currently making a huge effort to stop people from sharing password accounts across all of their devices. Netflix users who use an account of a person not living with the owner are starting to get messages asking to sign up for a free trial of the service if you aren't able to verify a code. If the account can't be verified, then the user will have to sign up for a 30 day free trial.
Currently, this is only being tested on TV devices.
