Iconic 'K' Sign From Knott's Berry Farm Has Moved To Glendale!

The 'K' from Knott's Berry Farm has a new home and it's at the Museum of Neon Art in Glendale.

“I’m overjoyed that the Museum of Neon Art can be a caretaker for this icon of Buena Park and Southern California’s beloved theme park,” Lynxwiler said in a statement.

The museum obtained the 46 year old sign from Knott's on October 10th, which stood atop the Sky Tower and Sky Jump parachute thrill ride since 1976. Knott's replaced the original sign with a replica for their 100th anniversary and the new sign includes about 6,000 LED lights that can send over 16 million color combinations.

The Museum of Neon Art's board president, Eric Lynxwiler, is an advocate for preserving neon signs and the 'K' sign will join other iconic neon art like the Anaheim motel sign. Obtaining this original 'K' sign is also the museum's tallest neon sign sitting at 20 feet tall and weighing 5,000 pounds. Click here for more.
