The FDA Warns These 9 Brands Of Hand Sanitizer May Be Toxic!

Finding hand sanitizer anywhere is basically like finding gold during this coronavirus pandemic. Let's be real we've all gotten to the point when we see the words "hand sanitizer" we instantly buy it because the brand doesn't even matter to us anymore. Well the Food and Drug Administration warns that there's nine brands we shouldn't use because it's possibly toxic. It may contain methanol, or wood alcohol, a substance that's potentially dangerous when absorbed through the skin or ingested. If you notice that your hand sanitizer contains methanol, it should not be used due to its toxic effects and the FDA urges consumers to stop using the products and discard it immediately in hazardous waste containers. You can see the list of brands and products the FDA is warning you about below:

  • The Good Gel Antibacterial Gel Hand Sanitizer (NDC: 74589-010-10)
  • CleanCare NoGerm Advanced Hand Sanitizer 80% Alcohol (NDC: 74589-005-03)
  • CleanCare NoGerm Advanced Hand Sanitizer 75% Alcohol (NDC: 74589-009-01)
  • CleanCare NoGerm Advanced Hand Sanitizer 80% Alcohol (NDC: 74589-003-01)
