Disneyland announced today that Magic Key annual pass renewals will begin THIS Thursday! Disney fans have been waiting for this long awaited news and we finally have more information and new top-tier Magic Key has been revealed. Disneyland launched the Magic Key program back in August 2021 after retiring the popular annual passports amid the COVID-19 shutdown of the parks.
The Magic Key passes give guests access to the parks on select dates through a new reservation-based system. As of right now, Disney says they are currently “prioritizing renewals” and new purchases will not be offered at this time. However, the Dream Key will no longer be offered for renewals. Disney revealed four Magic Key tiers that will be available for renewal starting on August 18th. The tiers include: the all new Inspire ($1,599), Believe ($1,099), Enchant ($699), and Imagine ($449 for Southern California Residents).
All four Magic Keys will include free or discounted parking at the theme parks and a discount on Genie+, the new skip-the-line offering that replaced FastPass and MaxPass. The Inspire and Believe passes will also include PhotoPass digital downloads. Another big change is that all Magic Keys will have blockout days (yes, including the Inspire Key) from December 21st through January 1st.
Existing Magic Key passholders can renew by visiting Disneyland.com/Magic-Key on Thursday, August 18th and renewals will begin “no earlier than 9 a.m.” on Thursday.
